The Bend Store

The Bend Store is a downtown Bend gift shop on Wall Street, founded in 2005 by local artist Delia Paine. It carries Bend-branded goods alongside work from local makers, ceramics, prints, hand-crocheted goods, artist collaborations, positioning itself as a hub for Bend's creative community rather than a souvenir stand.

Project Goal

To grow reach and engagement through a mix of staff-led comedy bits and genuine local-maker storytelling, selling the shop's personality rather than individual products.

Project Details

Delia and her team built a recurring cast of characters rather than one-off posts. A skit with a neighboring bread shop, Great Harvest Bread Co., escalated into a leaf-blower duel between two Bend Store employees that pulled in someone from High Desert Frameworks next door, joyfully absurd enough that both shops wanted a part two. Another bit had an employee "fixing" the in-store music by breaking into full song. None of it sold a specific product directly, all of it built a reason to keep watching.

That ran alongside steadier content: a day-in-the-shop feature, new-arrival showcases for local makers like Krishi Creates and artist Hannah Jensen, and back-to-back artist spotlights on ceramicist Christine Bastille. The pairing mattered, the comedy earned attention, the maker features gave it something to point that attention toward.

In the April 2026, the shop saw 49,064 views across platforms, a 4.05% engagement rate (up from 3.96%), 35,832 unique accounts reached (up 28.4%), and average video views nearly doubling to 4,088 (up 98.6%).
