TedxBend

TEDxBend is a locally organized TEDx event dedicated to the mission of sharing ideas worth spreading. Rooted in the global TED framework, TEDxBend brings together thinkers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for a live event centered around powerful short form talks and meaningful connection.

Beyond the main stage experience, TEDxBend fosters an ongoing culture of curiosity and engagement in Central Oregon. It is a platform designed to spark conversation, inspire action, and highlight voices that challenge, educate, and uplift the community.

Project Goal

To design a website that clearly communicates the TEDxBend mission, supports event promotion, and creates an engaging digital experience for attendees, speakers, sponsors, and the broader community.

Project Details

TEDxBend needed a website that could carry the weight of a globally recognized brand while still feeling uniquely local. The site had to reflect the credibility and structure of the TEDx framework, but also showcase the personality and energy specific to the Bend community. Striking that balance was central to the design process.

We focused first on clarity and user journey. Visitors come to a TEDx site for different reasons. Some are looking to purchase tickets. Others are exploring speaker applications, sponsorship opportunities, or past talks. The navigation and layout were intentionally structured to guide users quickly to the information most relevant to them without overwhelming them with excess content.

Visually, the design leans clean and confident, allowing the bold TEDx identity to lead while creating space for compelling imagery and storytelling. Strong hierarchy, thoughtful spacing, and strategic calls to action ensure that the site feels dynamic but easy to navigate. The experience was built to feel elevated and professional, while still welcoming and accessible.

The result is a streamlined web presence that supports TEDxBend’s growth and credibility. The site now functions as a central hub for event information, community engagement, and brand storytelling, giving the organization a polished digital foundation that matches the impact of the ideas shared on stage.
